Day 02: Discover Delhi This morning, discover the history and heritage of Old Delhi, Walking through the busy streets of Chandni Chowk, to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Also visit Raj Ghat, cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi and drive pas the splendid Red fort (Drive past). This Afternoon, explore New Delhi, Visiting Qutub Minar, Humayun tomb a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture. Take a photo stop at the renowed war Memorial, India Gate and visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, a Sikh Temple still in active worship. Also drive past President’s House, Parliament House and other Government secretariat Building. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Agra (200 Kms /4 hrs) After breakfast, drive to Agra, land of Taj Mahal. Rest of the day at Leisure. Optional: This evening you have the option to watch a live theatre performance, introducing you to the story of the Taj Mahal. Watch the spectacular performance –“Mohabbat The Taj- The Saga of Love”, staging the largest replica of the Taj Mahal, and presenting the legend of love that created this magnificent mausoleum (at extra charge). Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 04: Day in Agra This morning, witness the surreal view of Taj Mahal, sparkling in the glittering ray of the India sun. Step inside this eternal symbol of Love and appreciate the intricate design and symmetries that rhyms as a poem written in Marble. Taj Mahal is an extravagant display of love, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Also, visit the splendid Agra fort, built in red sandstone, encapsulating magnificent palaces, halls of public and private audience and beautiful gardens. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 05: Agra to Jaipur (265 Kms / 5 hrs) After breakfast, drive to Jaipur – the pink city hued capital of Rajasthan. This city of erstwhile Rajput Maharajas, is built in 9 rectangular sectors symbolizing 9 divisions of the universe, as per Indian cosmology. En route to Jaipur, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the capital city of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at your hotel. Later explore the many facet of Jaipuri crafts such as semi precious jewels, pottry, colorful embroidered fabrics with mirror work, woven carpet etc – watch artisans at work and enjoy souvenir shopping.
Day 06: Discover Jaipur Today, explore the princely city Jaipur, starting with a morning excursion to Amber fort, which was built in the 16th century. An elephant ride (Subject to availability) will help you ascend to this hilltop fort; alternatively, you may also choose to climb or drive up to the fort. This afternoon, visit city palace, the architectural masterpiece of Jaipur, and ancient astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar. Also take a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds), built in the 18th century.
Day 07: Drive Jaipur to Delhi After breakfast, drive to Delhi International Airport to board your flight back to home.
